Does anybody know if I will have a problem getting a blue slip in NSW with my car in primer? Everything else is in good shape except the primer. I have had the engine rebuilt and it is running fine, now rust, just need rego to get it to a few panel beaters to quote on the respray, I have already had the engine bay resprayed just that the guy is asking too much money to finish the rest of the car now. |

u should have no problems at all, a blue slip is just a recod that u've got a new motor in u're car , the only thing that gets changed is an engine number |

Im in NSW, and i was under the impression that when your car becomes out of registration for a period of time, its necessary to get a blue slip. Not just an engine change? |

no you wont have a problem i rang about this when i first got my TX unregistered. It had to get a blue slip and as long as there is no rust and no bare metal you will be fine.
just keep in mind they will be pretty hard on you when they inspect it so make sure your suspension/brakes/steering are all up to scratch too |
