I found what is apparently a factory TG electronic ignition setup. Does anyone know about this. For me to use it with an aftermarket computer, say a haltech or microtech, which parts do I need. Just the dizzy and the coil? If so do I then just hook them up to the EMS omputer?
Cheers

It all depends on the dizzy and the computer. You can use whatever coil you want, but if going new, get one that specified electronic ignition.
Some microtechs have built in ignitors, so you just wire up the dizzy output directly to the computer. The computer then fires the coil(s). Most computers use ignitors, which are the little black boxes that electronin dizzies use. The output of the ignitor will then be pumped to the computer, which fires the coil.
To wire it up, read the wiring diagrams that came with the respective computer.

Sounds about right. What I was hoping was that the module/ignitor that comes with the ignition could be pissed off and the computer does that job instead. So all I would need of it would be the dizzy and coil and related parts with that. Coz its module looks like it may have water damage.
Do you know if any electronic dizzy is suitable to use with a fuel/ignition computer, or do I need say one meant for a turbo and efi?
For somereason noone who does gemis can help me with this. As other ppl have said they all just say use a crank angle senxor etc. All I want is a dizzy for now though.
So would you thik that I could use this with a microtech/haltech and not need to spend $500 on a Crane/MSD/other electronic dizzy kit?
Cheers
