hey i just bought a sub and made a box but if i mount the sub in the boot would the petrol tank make a difference with the sound. if so what should i do to make the sound as good as other cars?

yeah man the fuel tank distorts the db's shift the fuel tank to the floor and close the boot in with mdf an line it |

yeah the tank does. But i cant see hte difference between shifting hte tank then closing it in, and just closing it in without touching hte tank. Effectively you are doing the same thing, blocking it off making an inclose unit. What i have done, havnt finished my boot yet is use a fair bit of sound deadener. SO far ive used the spray variety as when used in thin layers comes up pretty nice. Just do as many thin coats as you want. Another option is the 'brown bread' type deadner. It comes in a roll, its a thicker sheet type deadener. This will reduce reverb and rattle in general. I also sprayed my tank |

how hard is it to move the tank to the boot floor? cause i realllly want a kick ass sound system |

i would have thought something like that would be too expensive, so i just removed the rear speakers from the parcel shelf, that gave me 2 big fuckoff ports, good enough for me!!!! _________________

I just used auto one brand from you guessed it, auto one. I would imagine K&H would be good, they generally are. 10 bucks a can. 4 cans would be enough for the boot, just depends how thick you want it |
