i'm not an idiot whos too stupid to fix all my probs on my shitbox gem, i have fixed all my problems my self on my gem so far,which is pretty good for a 17yr old most ppl would have given up on my latest problem long ago but no i'm going to fix it myself...
u don't really ever give anyone help any way...u just cause shit...so thats no BIG loss... and as for my shitbox gem, i'd like to see a pic of ur gem... theres not that many gems that look better than mine, and seems it's my first car it's pretty damn good even if it is a shit box compared

i have noticed that alan has done is reply to peoples posts, most of the time when they need help... which i would say is a good thing. seems like he knows his shit

Thirdly, you can not get an engine installed drive in/drive out for $5000 from a shop. YEs people, Im saying it again, cos I know it annoys the toss pots here wih their fantasy quotes. Drive in drive out means no more money to spend on the engine.

The front cut is 2800, that leaves 2200 for
1,engine mounts
2,g/box mounts
3.wiring in the stock ECU and harness (big job)
4. fit intercooler and custom pipes,
5. fit exhaust with 2.5 inch pipe, and turbo muffler (you cant use the stock exhaust, you'll waste power.
6. Modify std Gemini cable clutch to hydraulic.

YES DIDNT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT BRAKES, OR COMPLIANCE,ETC. DID YOU NOTICE??? DEEEERRRRR

At $50 per hr, only a moron would think you can do it. any fool can ring up and get a bullshit quote. No one in Qld does regular SR20DET into Geminis, so how could they even accurately quote? They cant. Not one person on this forum even knows whats involved doing the clutch of one.

i reckon it could be done for 5000 but u'd have to know a few ppl in the business seems u can import the engine for like 2000 or even less... my mate bought his 180sx for 8000 imported, his dad imports cars from japan ...not a drive in drive out conversion but i think it could be done
