could the head or the head gasket be gone if there is no sign of bubling in the radiator and no seen mixture when rocker cover is taken off? |

holod a piece of paper behindn the exhaust and rve the car. if theres all shit comming out of there thats a sign. try lighting it to c if its fuel aswell |

If cylinder pressure isn't venting into the water or oil galleries from a failed head gasket, then there's a very good chance that you would be able to hear it as it would be venting to the atmosphere. But if you cant hear it (i'm assuming coz you never mentioned it), then maybe you've got a leak into another cylinder. Just a thought.

When my head gasket went years ago,it went between cyl 3 and 4 so there was no visable sighns just a great big lack of power |
