i've ran a relativly hot 1600 in my gem for quite some time. i recently turbocharged it and WHOAAAAA she moves. before the turbo i had 55kw at the rear wheels. now i have 85kw at 9psi, and thats nowhere near its potencial. anyway, i blew it up again on the weekend. melted another piston. the motor was never really built to take a turbo anyway. i took 11cc out of each head chamber, but it wasnt enough to take 13psi.
SO! i bought a g200 the other day. and im going to balence it, decomp the head OR get some low compression forged pistons (forgies are going in it anyway). i was just wondering how good you can get them to go? i hear that they use the same block in the 2.2 and 2.4 litre motors as well. how much can i bore it out to does anyone know? at the moment im using some crap turbo charger so im buying a garrett T03. should be sik |

Dennis mobs gemini van has about 550hp abd ran a 9.86 1/4. And thats only an 1800. So add a few ponies and that should be the potential of a 2L. |
