wheel bearings????

when should i know when the wheel bearing have collapsed on a car???? and how much to replace them???

jack up the car and spin the wheel, if the wheel makes a loud rolling sound then your bearings are probly gone, just take off the center cap, then pull out the greasy split pin, undo the wheel nut and theres ya bearings.

i think mine are shot caus when i jack the car up or let it down. there is creaking noises coming from the rear hubs.

if its your berings youll hear the noise (like your in a train almost)whilst driving - doesnt sound like bearings to me?

Mine were fucked cos the wheels would move side to side and make a clunking noise when i was driving. All that needed doin was repacking. They are about $80 for a new front or rear set, but cost a shitload to get put in by a mechanic if u dont know how. if they are on the drive wheels it would cost about $300 all up cos, but on the fronts would cost about $100 or so.

theyre like 15 each trade, do it yourself its easy
you can by a kit from bevic auto parts for that much
