hey any one in qld now what the deal is if u change any engine in ur gem and then the engine numbers dont match the compliance plate do u have to get i recomplianced with the new engine number before registering it or should it be allright if the engine number is differant.

ring main roads and tell them ya changed ya engin, and that its the same, then u give them the new engin number. but u have to go and get a new modplate with the new engin number put on it. no biggy

depends dude, my car has had the engine changed before i bought it, it had a stock 1600 taken out n another put in, when i went n registered it i think she just put down the new engine number n shit but cos it was stock there wasn't a prob, i didn't register the car so i dont really know much else, i got the old man to do it for me. i didn't have to get another plate or nuttin.
