ok, heres the story...
i had electrical probs ages ago, which u all would have seen on here, wit my alternator and stereo wiring...
ok so that nearly lit my car on fire, when the wiring burnt, it melted through the oil sender tube to my oil press guage, so it was squirting oil in my dash when i ran the engine,
when the nrma came out to check out the alternator, he said he'd take out my oil sender while he was there, which he did, but he forgot to give me the one he took out bak!!! and when he put in this one he pulled from his truk, he cross threaded the thread in the engine block,
i went and bought a new kit, and i cant get a new oil sender in, it fukd the thread on that aswell, so new i got a fukn hole in my engine block pissing oil everywhere, if i dont get another one in , what should i do??? i cant get it regod without it in!!!
should i get a new block, or im thinking of gettin a 1.8l engine, the g180??? how much would this set me back, for a reasonable condition one??? is it worth gettin a twin cam engine or not??? u have to get engineered if it is ova 1.8 dont you? can i drop in a 1.8 straight to original engine mounts??? or can i go 2L engine?
OR
how can i rethread it to suit another oil sender? do i have to take the whole engine out or wat???
Thank you all so much in advance

theres plenty of room in a gem engine bay to do virtually anything, now you've got 2 choises-
1)take it to a mechanic or engineer and have them re-tap the thread,or
2)find out the thread size and go buy a tap and tapping kit and re tap the thread yourself(very easy, all hand done just need a steady hand whist re threading) |

or block that hole up thats threaded and remove one of the other holes that go thru to oil and put the sender in there |
