| how long ago was it recond? i was think if it was just recond then u might get under/close to $1000 but if it was recond close to a year ago you will only get $400 |

if its stock-ish and a 1600 i wouldnt care when it was recoed i wouldnt pay more than $200 for a 1600. actually i w ould never buy a 1600 full stop, why the hell reco one???

Gene actually has a very good point there. If you are after more from an engine in terms of grunt by a simple reco, then sell the tired G161 for whatever cash you can get and get hold of a G180 or G200 that needs a reco for a bottom dollar price. They literally bolt in without ANY mods, would cost roughly the same to rebuild/reco, generate more HP and torque, have interchangeable parts between the 'G' series engines, and are able to be dropped in without engineers cert's and so forth. The choice is simple.
