What is most affective headwork I can get done?

Does anyone know what I can do in terms of headwork and carby's to get my tc gem running quicker?

What carby is in it? is it the standard one? if so, take the spring off it to make the secondaries open earlier. Port the top of the inlet manifold underneath the carbie, there should be 2 circles there at the moment, cut the piece out between them so it makes an oval. As for the head, put in bigger valves, lumpy cam, give it a port and polish and it should go quite nicely. I dunno how much this costs but it'd be fuckin sweet.

If you do get the head ported, bowls blended, bigger valves, inlet and exhaust ports match ported to the manifolds. Take it to a good reputable head shop to get the head flow tested with a print out to make sure that all four ports flow as close to equal amounts as possible. Then get them to recommend a cam of their specified dimensions that would suit your driving and head/fuel system modifications.

Shave the head, set of sigma inlet valves,nice mild cam and port job and a down draft webber of a cortina should go nice
