sound clarity comes from a high quality amp, not so much wiring. electronics places & people talk up thick wiring and make it sound so good, the best wires to have as thick as possible are the 12v active and the earth from your amp this gives best power handling and current flow for the amp to operate because they are INPUTS to the amp. too thick wires to your sub means the amp has to work much harder to run power through them and it will struggle because they are OUTPUTS.
hope that helps

Thicker wires means less resistance/losses in the pathe from amp to speaker, although not necessary to be as thick as power wires, theyre the imporatant ones. They will work, but it comes down to quality of cables, flexiblity (house wiring will be fairly stiff/brittle), etc. You can try it and i'd doubt you'd notice a difference, theres no use cheaping out if its a big dollar system though... |
