if you use standard mounts it will put the engine further back than the g-series engines, so you will have to chop firewall. if you use a gemi box the the drive train wont have to be touched. yes the diff could handle the power, but it might spin to much being a single legger |

how much work would it be to cut the firewall or would it be earier to make new mounts for the engine cuz wouldn't you have to make all new mounts for the gearbox and then change the drive line cuz the engine would be more forwards?? has anyone done a website on this conversion or has done this conversion b4 so they could tell me how and what there is to do? and how hard it is ?
anyhelp would be sick!

use the gemini mounts for the engin and box, and bash the small part of the fire wall with a hammer, u want ya engin weight as fare back as posable fo beter handleing. if u more the engin forward u will get more understeer which is bad

I can tell you that the 2L 4ZC1T & 2.3L 4ZD1 will bolt straight in with no mods if you use the electronic distributer and backing plate from a holden shuttle. Clears the firewall and heater blower cover perfectly. It should work with the 2.6L 4ZE1 too.
Cheers. |

dont hammer it, if you hammer it, it looks bodgy if you file it, it will come out lookin better if you put a bit of paint over the top, it will fit nicely with a bit of a muff shave.
i love pussy out. |

you cant hammer it, you need to take a fare bit out so you can advance the dizy when needed. you dont actually have to cut into the firewall, you only have to cut the lip off. |
