I just bought an 808 wagon(very heap and will have the roof chopped of to be a summernats cruiser) with an unfinished 13B conversion in it. Its a twin dizzy engine and I want to know how to wire up the coils when going to the single coil 808 setup. Parrallel, series, something else??
Cheers

TRY THIS.
i think mine is set up like so.....
run a 12v power source to the coils, thru a relay or ignition, this can be bridged between both coils.... then the negatives connect to the distributor. 1 is going to be leading and the other trailing. connect them to the points so that they fire at the right times. then connect them with the leads to the dizzy, make sure the leading coil goes to the correct 1, same as the trailing.
this might help, a bit vague, but ill check properly when i get home |
