My car should be going in for paint soon. I've decided to just get it done professionally since I had a good offer from a friend in the trade and I don't really have the tools to do a decent job (my gun and compressor suck!)
My initial choice of colour was a simple white since it would be easy to spray. Since a pro is doing it then there are no limitations really. Except that I would rather use the paint I have already (4L white acrylic).
I was thinking of getting some blue pearl mixed as I've seen that and it looks quite good.
Another few ideas I've had are gold pearl and silver pearl but have no idea how it would look, anyone got any ideas on how these or any other pearls would look ?

My suggestion... figure out what color scheme you are doing your interior or any OTHER main color scheme you will be putting in your gem. Then go for a pearl that brings out that area. e.g blue seats with blue pearl, red carpet with red pearl etc. Or maybe even a black pearl with black interior would be pretty shmick.

about 2 hrs ago i got a backyard job done by a pro on my VL. it's got a burgandy 2pak booth job top, and the bottom is a bright silver (original silver that comes on vl calais), neway, i put that purple/green pearl on top, the dude gave it 3 nice not too heavy coats, and the effect on the silver was no that intense. u can notice it if u dunno coz sum ppl cam round say that it's got pink in it n shit, so it is noticable, but you get a more intense finish if the colors are similar, eg pink or red with purple pearl. silver with purple pearl works, but silver is 2 strong color, and a better effect would have been seen on a more similar color i rekon.
