when making an engine conversion. does the pollution have to match the car the engine was out of, or your car that your putting the motor into? |

they were asking if it was the car year/model or engine year/model, which from your answer gives no indication of which one.... nice effort
personally I have no idea, but I would assume it would be the egine |

the new motor must have all the pollution gear from the car it came from.
so a Sr20det from a 96 200SX going in to a gemini must ahve the pollution gear from the 200SX |

If the motor is older than the car, the motor has to meet emission requirements of the year the car came out. If the motor is newer then the car the motor has to meet the emission requirements of the year the motor came out. |
