Hey guys, Im new here and would like some info on how much I would be paying for a gemini s/wagon in good cond. Was going to look at one for $800 the other day but couldnt make it. Is this a good price, Also where do you look for rust. Td would be nice as I have a coupe in my backyard but any model will do.

hmmmm where to look for rust... (scratches head)

EVERYWHERE!!! i reckon all parts on a gemi are prone to rust...

$800 sounds rusty

yeah mate, the main places to look for rust is inside ur engine bay, the top corners. although theyre not too hard to replace. floor pans, sub frame, the boot floor, inside the tailgate and general body rust. have a look at the door hinges too, often they will crack and the door will sag. and if u have a hoodlining without rips and a fuel flap, ur laughin! wat u doin wif da coupe????

You also get rust around the window seal sometimes and on join between the A-pillar and skuttle panel, especially if its been boggged over (lots of people do this for some reason)

Also look under the fuel tank, if theres no rust (or bog!) here then its a good indication that the car has been looked after relatively well.

The sills under the doors get rust so check for bog there and also like any other gemi, the front quarter panels will rust out.

i am doing up a wagon with no rust (all welded up) for about $2000 resprayed in pearl white. imacc interior. sle/s

Hey bluepanno, the coupe is defected, and rusty but the motor and gearbox are in A1 cond its just sittin in my backyard, Im slowly pullin parts of it to sell.
