just remembered i got a ball park figure yesterday of a v6 and 5 spd into my gem.
got told around $7000 for motor and gearbox..fully engineered.gunna go up on the weekend and ask more questions...but sounds pretty cheap to me.

BUT, for $7K thats prity good. if infact its true. im not gonna go and abuse him likes everyone abused me when i said i got quoted $5000 to do the same thing with the sr20 (which i now have prof that is posable, but i couldnt be fucked agruing the point)

hahaha..thanks mate.im goin to look into it on the weekend.and ill post wat i should b getting for the money,the conversion wont b happening for a while but i just need sumthing semi concrete to start saving towards.wat is this about an sr20 for $5000?

import place in brisbane quoted me to suply and fit a s13 sr20 for $5000 and all the wankers who have never done it but know everything had a go at me cos they "KNEW" it would cost more than $5000

hahaha.....that sounds very cheap! u wouldnt happen to know about any places like that down here on the central coast would u ? ive only found one....the "fat ride shop" thats where i got told about the v6.
but please get back to me if you or any one else knows of any one into conversions down here,

nah i would know.
i also go t quoted to suply and fit a rb25 turbo into my silvia for $4000 from the same place.
IF i left my fj20 stock i could have had it in the car and runing for $3500. the sr20 is only $1000 more to buy.

ring some well know import work shops, thats who quoted it for me. i think i have the number at home if u want it, i wil try find it.

what u got quoted for the v6 is way cheaper, cos u will need a 3/4 chassis put in and the rest!!.
