easiest thing to do is get a turbo and manifold off a piazza which will bolt straight on. Just need to put an oil return line into the sump which may require pulling the engine out. You will also need a decompression plate if your running much more than the stock 8.3:1 and want to run a reasonable amount of boost. With a few 90deg elbows and a bit of exhaust pipe you can run the turbo into a carby, just need to make an air tight box to seal the carby, have it re jetted and get a rising rate fuel requlator and fuel pump. Depends where you get the parts, could do a hack job from as little as $300

you can run 10psi without a decompression plate but you must run an intercooler... that is at 8.3:1 comp. you can get a supercharger from around $400... they don't require a new exhaust manifold but you need a different belt drive system. You could use a piazza manifold for a turbo set up... but try finding one... it's a bitch. With a supercharger, you could mount the supercharger on the side where the battery is... send plumbing through the intercooler and then blow through the carby... might work cheaper than a new turbo manifold, turbo, cooler, bigger exhaust, etc.
