howdy peeps,
i have an arc welder. i was just wondering if it would be ample to use this rather than a mig to weld in new sections of metal? do people go mig just for the cleaner look and you dont have to crack all the slag ( or whatever it;s called) off? or is it just slighlty more convenient? would my arcy do?
cheers |

just on experinse arc or stick weld makes allot of splats which sametimes make small holes elsewhere and if you run too much current it will put holes instead of welding.the best is mig with argon sheild gas this will minimise splat and inshore a good strong weld.
one more thing diconnect your battery before welding. |
