big job gene. im changing my a the moment and its sedan tx.
if you are getting a second hand one you need to find all the spot welds and drill them out and slowly with a chisel cut the spot weld. do the same on your car. then you must aline the panels both sides and you must have the boot lid on, put a couply of welds on and when your happy weld it all back up.
make shore the boot closes and every thing is right before you weld the hole thing up.
have fun.(its a "cunt" of a job) |

I put a new beaver panel in my wagon. Holden still had the panel in stock (about $80 I think. Worth a try!).
Just drill out all the spot welds and take the old panel off (make sure you only drill through the beaver panel and not right through). Then drill a heap of holes in the new beaver panel (in similar locations to the old one) and line up and weld on. |

The rear beaver panel... Under the tail gate in my case (wagon), under the boot (with the tail lights etc) in your case (coupe)? If so, that is what I am talking about.
