geminis came standard with 13's and in qld you are only
allowed to go up by 2 sizes so it doesn't put your speedo out hope this helps

17" rims and 35serise tyres are the same rolling diameter as the stock gemini rim _________________

hehe i have a little point to make.....i live in qld and im dead set sure its ur not allowed more than 2 inches wider not diameter.....aslong as the rolling diameter is the same it is legal. seems more understandable to me anyways. |

or you get lower profile tyres which makes your overall diameter of the wheel the same as a stock wheel, which means that your speedo would be correct.
I have 16", with 205/45's on it, and my speedo is about 3% wrong I think, even though the rims are 3" bigger, the smaller profile brings it back close to spec. |

when it comes to the law, the most logical interpretation is often wrong... Gene is right, you aren't technically allowed rims more than 2" bigger, however stupid that is since you can get a smaller profile tyre etc... |

diameter cant change by more then 15mm bigger or 26mm smaller.
The rims and tyres must not protrude beyond the bodywork
of the vehicle, including flares, when viewed from above and
when the wheels are facing straight ahead. If the vehicle was
originally constructed with a portion of the wheel protruding,
the wheels must not protrude further than originally constructed.

The maximum tyre width must not be more than 1.3 times wider
than the vehicle manufacturer’s widest optional tyre. However, in
the case of off-road passenger vehicles fitted with front and rear
beam axles, the maximum tyre width must not be more than
1.5 times larger than the manufacturer’s widest optional tyre.
The nominal width of the narrowest tyre fitted to a vehicle must
not be less than 70 percent of the nominal width of the largest
tyre fitted and never less than the vehicle manufacturer’s
narrowest optional tyre as indicated on the manufacturer’s
tyre placard.
