Iam looking at putting a CA18DET into a TE, has any one done it?
I know you need to get a custom sump, engine mounts, gearbox mount, and shorter tail shaft.. is there really much more apart from small stuff and is it worth the trouble?? |

If your going to go to the hassles of an engine conversion, spend abit of extra money and go for something a little bit better with more potential, the results will be worth it in the end. Something like an SR20DET or FJ20DET....cheers |

Dude, the CA is a perfectly capable, reliable and powerful engine. What is it with people that think the CA18DET should be pushed aside in favour of the other engines you suggested. They are built on a par easily wit the SR's, some of they're designs actually overshadow the SR20DET. The CA has a mountain of potential. |
