i gotta 4 speed and it revs alot when doing 100 on highway wondering if can change diff ratios to make it rev lower but i dont wanna lose too much down low ? |

same as mine, put a 5 speed box in. should save you a bit of petrol money too. you might need a different tailshaft aswell, im not sure. probably easier than fucking around with your diff and doesn't make you lose any power. |

dont play around with your diff mate, just put a five spd in it'll drive a lot better on the highway, and its shitloads easier and cheaper than fuckn round with the diff too. mostly 5spds cost around $50 - $200 at your local wreckers depending on the condition that there in. most places include the tailshaft with that price. when looking at them turn the shaft in the bellhousing over quickly, and listen for bearing noises. if you can hear them now, its probably a good sign that a top end bearing has been badly worn and will make a hideous noise, when in the car with a load under it. hope this helps....ood luck and keep on truckn, greg. |
