Gene, if you have a decent amount of cash for this sort of tool, my brother is selling his 'engine crane'. It's on wheels, this makes it very easy to lift an engine then place it anywhere you want. It can be adjusted to lift various weights by sliding the main arm in and out. Doesn't require a nasty hole in your roof to hang from, etc. etc.
He's most likely negotiable on it, he payed approx. $750 odd clams, but will most likely take approx. $300 for it as he has no use for it anymore. Having kids kinda spoils his car fun. I used it twice - once to remove a 1600 and to reinstal a 2L. He has only used it once, to remove a 202 from his VK (didn't get around to reinstalling it).
If interested, reply back and i will sort something out.
Cheers,
Jasyn...

Gene, lifting capacity is 1 ton which is more than capable of handling the average car engine. I live at Chandler on the Southside of Brisbane |
