if its a proper electronic dizzy you will need a ignition module these can be found on a holden shuttle.you can also use one off a valiant or a sigma. the shuttle one is the easiest one to fit it sits on top of the coil

Thats it! ignition module. buy it from repco, they have 4 wires coming off it, 2 two the dizzy and the other 2 go to the coil!

Depending which dizzy it is they will either go to a control module or to neative and positive of the coil. You shouldnt need to run a balast resistor with electronic ignition if you have the right coil.

Ya dizzy sounds like Mine. Does it have a 2 Black Boxs in side the the Dizzy itself(Around the Rotor Button Shaft)?
If so, Ya don't need a Ignitor Box. The 2 wires connect to:
1 wire goes to Negative(-) on ya Coil and the other goes on the Ballast Resistor. When say on the Ballast Resistor, Ya need to Bypass the Resistor entirely. Goes the Dizzy needs 12 volts all the time, That Ballast resistor drops the Voltage to 8 volts(Stand Points for Gemis).
Try that, If it wont start than swap the wires around and it should sweet. Than after that, BUY A PROPER ELECTRONIC IGNITION COIL, Because you will blow up a GT40R or Standard Gemini on because they're 8 volts not 12volt.
And set ya timing to 10 degree BTDC.
If ya any problems E-mail me and I'll give ya my Mobile Number. I'm in Melbourne and Glad to help.
