thats what i want i have the n/a engine i think its got about 11:2 compressioon but i have also been told about 10:4 or something its got about 140hp rears. i wana super charge it can i drop the compresion enough and run like 5-8 psi or am i dreaming.

yes you can as above use a copper headgasket you may have to change the cam as well do a search this topic has been
discussed a few times

yea i know u can lower it a little with decompression palte copper head gasket and cam but i think theres a point of to much compression to lower.

drop in different pistons then or buy a head that hasn't been shaved heaps maybe

i know 1mm decomp plates will drop compresion ALOT, but i was reading a ZOOM mad and they were doing a HOW TO, on building a monster HP sr20
they use a decomp plate 23mm thick????????????

Sure it was a decomp plate and not simply a block extension to allow a longer stroke?

Would have been the spacer plate as used in the JUN SR20DET stroker kit, it punches it out to near on 2.2L with longer rods and JUN pistons...

Isnt 11:2 compression about 5.5:1. Thats plenty low enough to run a supercharger. Dont know about making 140hp though. Maybe 10-25hp coz thats very low.
