Got a quote to fix the rust in my RB today. $800. A bit to much to get fixed i think. Would be better to buy a new Gemini. Or maybe a Kingswood. Any ideas on something different?
Cheers

hahha, u want somethin with no rust in it, dont choose a gemi, or atleast buy one that someone has already fixed, and kingswood? i swear those came out of the factory with more rust then the old gemis did, u dont want rust, spend 40 000 and buy a vt/vx commodore or ba falcon |

nah man i believe u bout it not being easily fixed, and the price of a tg depends on how much u wanna pay, stock un reg and rust, a few hundred, no rust reg, wheels nice engine, thats gunna cost u, depends on what u want, a car to do up or a car to drive that looks nice |

Yeah i will wait for it to dry out and put some silicon in there to seal it up. Then i might buy a TG or something. A Kingswood is a bit more of a beast though. But not as fast. I want it to be different though.. not like every other TG around. Any ideas?

Rust is easy to fix, grab an old panel to use for donor metal and a mig welder and go at it.
Heres a tricky bit I repaired during the build on the gem. Took some creativity with the mig by welding in small slithers at a time but it came up great.
My TD wagon had rust in all the usual places and it only took around 2 afternoons of welding to get it all repaired. Probably the most time consuming part was finishing the welds and grinding/filing them back.

Is it really worth it for a RB Gemini? |
