Hey guy,
Doing an engine swap from my old gem to my new one and was just wondering how to attach the engine crane to the engine. I've been told just wrpping the chain around the bottom of the egine, but i can see that slipping down the engine if it has to be lifted on an angle. Also been told to attach to inlet and exhaust manifold studs. Also been told there are actual bold holes specifically for lifting it.
Any other tips appreciated! Help needed!

i got a piece off metal about 5cm long with a 10mm hole drilled in one end and a 10mm hole drilled in the other end.
put 1 hole side off the metal onto one off the bolt studs on the intake manifold than screwed a nut too hold it from slipping off
and got another piece off metal the same size and put it onto one off the stud bolts on the exhaust side, screwed a nut too hold it on.
than i got 2 U bolts and attatched it too the chain and the other side off the piece off 10mm hole metal and bobs ur uncle. |

I removed a set of factory lifting plates off a datto 1200, bolted to front I/L stud and rear X/ST stud does the job. |
