I recall reading that in stocko form the VL turbs ran around a 15 flat to 15.2 sec quarter (very fast at the time for an Aussie car - even though it had a Jap engine).
Whereas the S15 ran in the vicinity of approx 14.3 to 14.7 sec, if these figures are right has anyone actually seen the gap of half a sec across the traps ? It's like around one car lenth at that speed (prolly 85ish mph).
Now to put that into perspective for the traffic light grand prix, the VL has just been smashed all over the shop. And it's owner is sent whimpering to find an S13 to take down to reclaim some glory.

even though I really dont like the things I must say they that vlt's are fuckin fast. My mates old vl on the original 170,000km old motor with bolt on mods was running mid 12's, daily driven.

my friend bought a gem about a month ago and it has a fj20 it flys and it runs a mid 12 without a front mount

VL's and ANY commodore for that matter is G.A.Y. wether it runs a 15 or an 8 its still a commodore which means its G.A.Y.

Like I said earlier, I helped convert a Datto ute with an FJ20 and it runs mid 10's easy! Pitty about the pissy box's though.
