Im after an engine conversion and im worried about parts avalibility. Is it hard to find DOCH 1800 (injected) parts or would I be better off with a 2.4 Rodeo?

way better off with the rodeo motor, theres not much gain to be had with a dohc 1800 over a g180 or g200, remember: when naturally aspirated u can't beat cubes

This is true, but the base of an injected engine is slightly better, mods like quad throttle bodies and high flow filters look to do more for power than a worked carby. And in the future i might look at supercharging it.

just hook the 2.6L rodeo injection up to the 2.4L

i'm build a g180 twin cam at the moment, and i finding it a bitch to find parts in SA. i have worked on both, 2.6 there is a lot more shit around, all wiring and hose. G180 is a lot simpler. it all depends what u can get cheaper. I got my G180 Twin cam 4 $80 complete, minus comp.

ive never heard of a 2.4 rodeo, do u mean the 2.3 thats was only about for a year before replaced by the 2.6 injected ?
