Is it Legal to drop a 5L into a gem? There is one for sale near me and i wanna buy it, but i wanna be able to rego the thing first! |

As far as i know NSW you can't unless it's all engenered.OU MAY GET AWAY WITH IT IN OTHER STATES BECAUSE OF THERE EASY REGO LAWS |

I don't think any states will let you register it without getting it engineered first. |

wont happen in QLD thats for sure. a gen 3 was tryed and couldnt pass any engineering. _________________

I got a spare gem and might have a spare 253 V8 if my mate upsizes his ute to a 308. That will be fun |

been done, chaind it down to the crossmember and got out of shape when revved,
never again
do it right the first time!!!! |

Makes you wonder why it is not registered already. if someone was serious about doing a decent swap then they would have looked into the certification side of it.
