what would be the best and cheapest ecu for a g180 dohc engine. Please give prices if u have them/ i am up for any ideas as well.

Cheapest new one you could probably buy is the microtech MT4, its fuel only and runs well on the dohc.

Goes for around $700-800 new with loom and base map.

Cheaper option is to look around for a secondhand one. The older microtech digi series will work fine and cost a lot less secondhand. I picked up a microtech digi2 pro (fuel and ign) with loom for $400.

The older fuel only haltechs (f7, f10 etc) are also excellent and can be picked up for anywhere between $200 and $600 for a fuel only, more if you want fully programmable ignition and fuel.

Its also possible to run the GM delco camira/pulsar/astra computer but its messy to wire up and requires tuning which not many people do these days. It's also leaves room for more problems since obviously its not designed specifically for that application, if you can get it to work it's a great ECU but requires some $$$ and knowledge.

Look around on the net, fast fours, performance forums, here, etc and see what you can dig up.
